Seeing The Views Of The Robbers

When I first watched Takers with my parents I was a teenager and we were looking for a movie to watch, that’s when we found the movie takers. I had always been a fan of action movies because they keep you entertained and on your tip toes since you don’t know whats going to happen next. This film is about six men who are bank robbers and while they celebrate their latest robbery and live a luxury life, one of the six members named Ghost ended up getting caught and going to prison, but once he got out a year later he goes back to the group and convinces them to rob an armored car that is carrying about 20 million dollars and it would be their biggest score out of all robberies that had been done. The strategy the robbers had was to lay low for a year then rob another place, then again lay low so that way they do not bring any attention to themselves. Once they get the money and are in a hotel room thinking they were in the clear, Ghost ended up betraying them to these Russians. Before they start shooting the room up he manages to escape without any of the men noticing.

What had gotten to me was the fact that Ghost betrayed his “crew” and they all believed him saying it would be an “easy” job and it was sad seeing the innocent police officer with a family dying and even though the other five guys did a bad thing, two of them were brothers and the oldest brother had  a girlfriend but she was Ghost’s girl before he went to jail. Ghost ended up killing her in the bar that she owned with her boyfriend and while her boyfriend was grieving over her, the police and Swat team showed up and the brothers gave each other a hug followed by going out with guns trying to shoot all the officers but ended up getting killed. Although these men all did bad thing and broke many laws it was different to me and brought more emotion to the story because you got to see behind the scenes of the criminals and got a whole different view of how things go down, rather assuming that all criminals do crimes with no back stories nor emotional attachment. They had gotten more greedy thinking that since they had gotten away with all the other robberies ,that they would get away with this one knowing they didn’t have much time to prepare like they usually do. As a kid you don’t notice those kind of things because you see is the action that is going on. My point is that even though they did bad things it was still sad to seeing them dying and the pain and sadness in their eyes. Many people can be greedy some a lot more than others and its okay to be greedy once in a while to a certain extent. Its also so amazing to what lengths people would go to just to have lots of money and how much they could get by working with a group.  The reviews were doubled sided as well as in between. Some loved the movie, some believed it was cheesy and could been a lot better, and others believed it was good but some scenes could have been worked on. Most people had said that it should have been a R-rated movie instead because of the violence in it. Over all we were able to see the story behind the criminals and the police instead of only seeing what happens on the police perspective.
