The Peaceful Kind vs. The Bad Guys.

Action is a good thing to have in life and beyond, that is why I am comparing The Terminator and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. I had some good experiences in there, though some scenes scared me just a little bit. it sounded like I was in a real life situation that had to be solved. another good experience I had while watching it would definitely be saving people and being a good hero to others. The critics agree that the film was to begin and continuing a film series. Others were very tense about the films to start with, but turns out different later on. There was a bit of conflict here and there. the feeling I had watching the films was a lot of mixed feelings. The historical evidence that was found hard to be the original movie poster, the original trailer, and a review of when the film first came out. My experience with that would be very amazing if I happen to be a good actor and participate in the films. The film was conventional because it was filmed in the Americas and it was a very big Hollywood style film. Also the other film is unconventional because it was a foreign country style film. The film was a very big Blockbuster and it was to begin a great film series that would attract people to see it and even see if another film in the series would be produced. While the other film was produced and filmed in China and uses martial arts.

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon was released in the year 2000. Current events during the films release included the first are going to the International Space Station.  A huge solar flare occurred on July 14th. The UK fuel protest was taking place, and 300 gallons of black lodge rand down the Mississippi River creating a environmental hazard. Critics in the United States felt that the slow movement based on subtitles at times it was difficult to see my interest. But suddenly, there was an epic martial arts fight in the film made it difficult to watch. Other critics felt that it had beautiful scenery, extraordinary martial arts, and dream like images of floating in the air. The movie was awarded and nominated for multiple academy rewards. Critics considered this film to be a claimed as one of the best non English films.

In contrast, we enter in to a time 8 years form now in 2029. Terminator first scenes depict a disastrous war zone between robotics and humans. Currently, in 2021, we as a society have begun to create robots with intelligence and one would wonder if were headed to a scene in the film. The cyborg travels back in time (and arrives naked) followed by a human who arrives to be the hero. The cyborg’s goal is to eliminate a young woman who will give birth to a son who lives in the future. The film was directed by James Cameron. Filmed in the United States and budgeted for $6.4 million. It was so successful that it grossed $78.3 million dollars at the box office. The film continues to earn both having many sequels and other forms of media. A movie that comes to mind 2 years later was Aliens. The Terminator (1984) T-800 Images | TheTerminatorFans.com

The historical events that have happened in the year Terminator came out were a big global sporting event that articled millions from all over the world to come see this historical sporting event. One of the most amazing sporting events have occurred in the southwest U.S. “The Los Angeles Games were the 20th occurrence of the modern Olympic Games” (Britannica). A very amazing global event. Also happening around that time, there was a dangerous human condition that people were exposed to and never noticed it before. “In the 1980s and early 1990s, the outbreak of HIV and AIDS swept across the United States and rest of the world, though the disease originated decades earlier” (History). Another global event.

The films were economic, ascetic- cultural, social, and technological with the styles used. The filmmakers did not expect the action that was put into the shots that were filmed in different locations. the light to be shed on the films would be very be well produced and shows the goodness about the films and how they did filming those films. The affect on how money is made on the films produced is the moving of equipment/props and how much it would cost to get those pieces. the political issues that are faces are the use f filming in a different area and how it would influence the government by using land to film on. Those would have a potential effect on society and politics. The technology differs on the effects, props, sounds, and different uses while the actors and the filmmakers using while using the set. Also the technology used in the film differs from what the styles can use throughout the film, and what can be used with the new technology. The historical documents can differ by showing how the film should have been produced differently and better on in the future. The goods and talent used in the film are relatively new using good famous actors and actresses to use good voices.

The four critical sources, interested me is about the different places being presented in the scholarly articles, and the history of the films in the journalistic articles. The differences shown are about the articles being about the study of the different areas in which the film was in. The others show what happened in both of the films what has been and what was received after the film was released to the public. “The Terminator’ brings film violence into the realm of the surreal. A slickly made, shoot-’em-up sci-fi fantasia, it stands for the proposition that, inside the most staid local theater, there is a drive-in yearning to be free” (Anttanasio). “It set another record with 10 Academy Awards nominations, a mark since equaled by “Roma” and “Parasite.” “Crouching Tiger” took home four Oscars” (Coyle). The film has technology to use expensive people and use technological effects (Anttanasio). The film has different places presented. (Coyle). I do agree in parts of the articles, and I disagree with the other part. There are no modifications needed to the writer’s point. The view could be in a totally different style.

Both of the action films are rather unique and very amazing to see the action spring on and know what happens during the action parts of the film. It was also good to compare and contrast the two films. Action is a good thing, but sometimes bad. The best thing about action is that it motivates us to a new level not just from the movies, but in real life when dealing with situations. Call it action? This clip shows action. This clip is translated to English for better understanding.

    Hello Steele,
I also had a good experience when I watch both of your films, The Terminator and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Those are two of my favorite movies because of the great plot, action, and acting. From your post, I learned that Crouch Tiger, Hidden Dragon set a record with 10 Academy Awards nominations. That’s pretty amazing.

    Hey Steele,
I agree that action films have certain elements that make them very entertaining. When I rewatched The Terminator, I was actually surprised by the violence and how he carelessly kills innocent people. It’s pretty amazing that Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon won 4 Academy Awards being a foreign film. I like how you reference the technological and social implications of the film.

    Hi Steele!!
I’ve never seen Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, but I have definitely seen The Terminator. Which is a film that brings new interest to the anti-hero type. Not just that, but the blockbuster quality of a film such as that one can add new views to cinema. The Terminator is a piece of cinema that everyone remembers, and not just for the many piece of dialogue that are pretty iconic to the modern era. Anyway, have a good day/night, depending on where you are!
