A Hard Day’s Night

Doble face McCartney

A Hard Day’s Night is a funny film that every age person can enjoy.  This film shows a fictional story of a famous band group (The Beatles). Summarizing the plot, basically the band is stalked by his manager and Paul’s grandfather, The Beatles leave Liverpool by train for a TV show in London.

Runing from fans

A Hard Day’s Night is a 1964 British musical comedy film directed by Richard Lester and starring the Beatles (John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr) This film shows us the Beatlemania (intense fan frenzy directed towards the English rock band in the 1960s).

Although the plot of the film is fiction and is full of humor, it really shows us the lives of famous people, in the aspect that they are always busy, limited and have little privacy. There is a part of the film that caught my attention in particular, when Ringo influenced by Grandpa McCartney’s tares decides to leave, on his way he finds a girl that doesn’t recognize him and treats him with contempt.

This part of the movie made me realize that sometimes people behave in a way depending on the title or influence of the person in front of them.

Premiere

Some people say that this film made The Beatles famous, the truth is that The Beatles were already famous, this film might help them so more people knew them but it definitely did not give them all the fame.

This film was predestined to success, The Beatles already had too many fans, so it was impossible to be a failure. The movie successful for 2 reasons, the fame of the Beatles and the comic script.

I not might be a super unique film, but it has a lot of fun and entertains you. This film helps us identify the personality that each members of the band had and maybe identify with one personality ass well.

One of my favorite characters was Paul’s grandfather, his character was very comical. One thing that i notice while i was reading critics of the film is that they compared grandfather McCartney with Yoko Ono (Lennon’s wife). Because like  grandfather McCartney, she tried to separate them, the only difference is that she made it.

Another interesting thing about watching this film is that we can identify aspects about the 60’s , like their way of dressing and their style; witch it is completely different to out present.

A Hard Day’s Night is a film that from start to finish keeps you laughing and intrigued, the different personalities and characters are what give the special touch to this movie, every occurrence and act that a character commits gives life to the film. Most characters are comic and unique. The songs that pass through the film of their album “A Hard Day’s Night” allows the audience to relax and create a pleasant atmosphere, making the film even more enjoyable

I really enjoyed watching the film, it fulfilled all my expectations, i highly recommend it.

There is no way someone can hate this film!

“- How have you found America?
– Greenland passes and to the left.”

“- Paul, do not make fun of the afflicted.
– It’s just a joke.
– It will be just a joke, but it’s your nose. It is not your fault to have that trumpet. The poor man shakes his head because of the weight.”

“- Are you listening to me, Lennon?
– You’re a pig.”

    Hello Vasti,

I agree with you, this movie was very humorous! In fact, the parts with the grandfather were especially funny to me, as he was portrayed as an evil-doer hell bent on getting in the way of his famous grandson’s band. However, I don’t feel the movie really accurately portrayed how busy a band’s life truly is, although it attempted to do so. Maybe a stronger story line would have helped this movie!

    Hi Vasti,
loved the analysis of the film, if you’ve seen this film I’m sure you’ve seen Yellow Submarine that the Beatles had made as well. That movie was a trip and no doubt in my mind that some recreational drugs were involved in creation of the film.

    Hi Vasti,

    Hi Vasti,
I also think that the Beatles are an interesting group of people, and are a very popular group. I find it very interesting that the film has such a humorous tone to it and not as serious since it is about famous people’s lives. I like your ability to incorporate your own personality into the piece and wish that I could do that more in my writing.

    Vasti,

I learned from your blog that there is a comical and fictional film about the beatles. It sounds like a good movie to watch and a nice way to see a bit of the history of the 60’s as well. Something we have in common is that I agree with you regarding celebrities having little privacy and always being busy. They make a lot of money though…
I admire how much you enjoyed the film. I can tell it really must be a good one with how you describe being intrigued and laughing throughout it. I will work on my appreciation of the comical parts and try not to be so critical.

    Hi Vasti,
You picked a fun film! I’ve actually always wanted to watch this. I didn’t know it was fictional, but I knew it was comical before I read your post. You have a lot of good points, especially the points about our celebrity culture. It’s still so odd to me that most people have such an obsession with the lifestyles of these people. It’s unfortunate that it makes little room for privacy in their lives. I really like the way you inserted the dialogue, maybe I’ll have to give that shot!
