Costumes aren’t just for kids on Halloween, they are some of the most vital pieces for a film. Costumes are also necessary to set the mood of the film.  For example, a spy movie would have a lot of people dressed in formal attire. A movie set in the Renaissance would have it’s characters dressed in medieval clothing.  According to a YouTube video by Bobby Burns, “costumes set apart each character from the film”.

In THE TERMINATOR, Arnold Schwarzenegger has to wear his iconic costume which help show that he has this bad guy personality.  By wearing this outfit, it makes him look intimidating and ready to kill.

Each character has their own costume and in some movies, when the character changes into another costume, it normally means something big has happened or is going to happen.  This doesn’t just apply to action movies, even those chick flicks where they have those make-over scenes have some pretty epic costume changes. You just can’t have a movie without costumes.
